SSI Open Water Course

Our Open Water Course consists in a 2 day SSI dive course and includes 4 dives on some of the best dive sites that Terceira island has to offer…

All your theory can be done on your personal device before or during your time with us on the Dive SSI APP which can be downloaded from your APP Store, and is completely free once registered.

The first days of your course will be spent in the swimming pool or one of our many natural pool(confined waters) learning all practical skills of scuba diving and theory in the class room at our facility, the exam will be done during your course(mostly at the end of it).

The next day will be spent enjoying the open water and putting into practice the skills you learnt in the pool.

Your first 4 dives will complete your open water certification then as a certified diver you are able to undertake more recreational fun dives or even do some additional specialty courses and will make your Azorean dive experience unforgettable

Remember no diving 24 hours before your outbound flight.

Student Diver Medical Declaration and if necessary obtain a dive medical from a doctor before you start your training.Any cost associated in this process are payed direct to that doctor.

Physical requirement prior to Open Water Course, be able to swim 200 meters and water paddling for 10 minutes.
