SSI Open Water Course Our Open Water Course consists in a 2 day SSI dive course and includes 4 dives on some of the best dive sites that Terceira island has to offer… All your theory can be done on your personal device before or during your time with us on the Dive SSI APP which can be downloaded from your APP Store, and is completely free once registered. Duration: 1 full day Independent diving should not motivate you for solo diving in general, it just adds an extra layer of security to your diving adventures in case you are separated from your friend. Learn effective self-rescue techniques, including the equipment needed to have adequate safety in case you need it. It’s a one-day course and includes two dives. Minimum requirements: Be certified in Advanced Adventurer or equivalent. Be certified in Diver Stress and Rescue or equivalent. Be certified or provide proof of experience in Night and Limited Visibility, Deep Diving and Navigation Specialties. Have logged at least 75 dives in open water totaling 50 hours or more.
